Having trained as a furniture designer at Canterbury College of Art, John graduated from London University. The majority of John's working life has been spent in manufacturing.

He fervently believes that the present must live alongside the past. These examples of his work show his appreciation of modern design and current trends. Some of his designs are now 'classics' and are still produced today.
